Pay Highway Use Taxes (IRS Form 2290) with a check, but File it online

With Express Truck Tax, an IRS-Authorized e-file provider for Filing Highway Use Taxes Online, there are several different options for paying the IRS Tax amount due. The IRS accepts Electronic Funds Withdrawal, EFTPS, check payments, or money orders.
The process for Electronic Funds Withdrawal and EFTPS is fairly simple. However, many people do not fully understand the process of paying by check or money order. Most people think that they will not receive a Schedule 1 until the tax is paid. If that were the case, it would make little sense to E-File online.
The Stamped Schedule 1 from the IRS will be issued for simply filing the Form 2290. It does not have to be paid to receive this form immediately. That is where people get confused about paying by check or money order. If the taxpayer elects to mail a check or money order, they will still receive a Stamped Schedule 1 immediately.
